Ten Walgreens Health Care Clinics to Close by end of Year

Pittsburgh area clinics among facilities to be shut down.

Walgreens will shut down 10 of its Pittsburgh, PA area health care clinics effective December 30, 2016, according toThe Beaver County Times.

A spokesman for Walgreens said in the report that the closures are due to the need for improvements in operating efficiency.

The chain hopes that the closures will improve efficiency and strengthen Walgreen’s retail business clinics, while addressing higher patient demands with greater needs, according to the spokesman as reported byTheTimes.

Included in the locations that will be closing its walk-in offices are Rochester and Moon Township.
